Isla Fisher Will Be Part of Baz Luhrmann’s THE GREAT GATSBY


Isla Fisher is in talks to join Baz Luhrmann’s 3D adaptation of The Great Gatsby at Warner Bros.
If talks go well she would play Myrtle, a married woman having an affair with the wealthy Tom Buchanan (a role Ben Affleck turned down this week)
Fisher joins the already cast Leonardo DiCaprio (as Jay Gatsby), Tobey Maguire (Nick Carraway) and Carey Mulligan (Daisy Buchanan).
F. Scott’s Fitzgerald’s classic 20′s set, American Dream deconstruction novel has been adapted by Luhrmann with his regular co-scribe Craig Pearce (Romeo & Juliet, Moulin Rouge). Filming is said to begin late summer.

Ben Affleck Joining 'The Great Gatsby'?

Looks like Ben Affleck is in talks to play the role of Tom Buchanan in the movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby!

The 38-year-old actor will join the movie depending on the involvement with his latest film, Argo, reports Deadline.

Already confirmed to be staring in the film is Leonardo DiCaprio, who will play Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire, who’s expected to play his friend Nick Carraway and Carey Mulligan who will be playing Daisy Buchanan.
